Hey there!! My name
is Jess, and I'd like to welcome you to my blog! I am a 25 year old
pregnant woman, who as of today (October 23, 2015), am 36 weeks +1 day pregnant and almost at my 40 week mark! I live in the south western
area of Ontario Canada, live with my boyfriend, and this will be our
first child. I found out earlier in the pregnancy that I am expecting
a little girl and that the due
date is November 19th of this year, which his me really antsy at this point since there is always the possibility of being early.

It was a huge
surprise for Brandon and myself when we learned about our
to-be-baby-girl. Especially since we had only JUST been together for
about 2.5 months. Mind you, we had known each other for 4 years, and
we had dated before, so its not like we met on the street, went for a
coffee, and the magic faeries descended upon me shouting 'SURPRISE!'.
It was also a shock since I had been on birth control and measures
were taken, but yet things still happened. Even though the timing was
not what I would call ideal, I do not in any way regret my decision
to keep her, I’m extremely excited to be having my daughter. Things
had happened in my past that had me thinking that I would not ever be
able to have kids, so to find out that I would be having my first
child made me very happy, though at first terrified. After a quick
adjustment to the idea though, it was like a party in my emotional
center!
Just hitting the 36
week mark, reality really strikes you on how close your date is. When
you think about it, most people didn’t even know that they were
pregnant when they are 4-5 weeks pregnant, and here it is, only 4-5
weeks left till meeting baby face to face (provided that baby isn’t
early or late). Throughout my pregnancy I had really taken to reading
up on blogs, watching vlogs on youtube, and looking up ANYTHING
pregnancy related since I prefer to know what I am walking into and
possibilities of things going not as planned. This of course drives
my boyfriend up the wall since he insists on 'taking things as they
go'. Everyone knows that you have to plan some of the stuff though.
To just 'take it as it comes' will just lead to stress later… at
least for me it does.
One thing I had
noticed while browsing these b/vlogs, is that while a lot of people
talk about their experiences (which I did find interesting and
insightful), there wasn't a lot of talk about how they managed to get
things in order before baby arrived. So, knowing that there are many
other women doing the same thing as I have since I found out about my
surprise pregnancy, I thought id give my view of how I managed
things.
I'd like to talk
with you about things that can help with managing your home in
general. So a lot of this is great to do to keep you on track for
baby, but you don't NEED to be pregnant to apply these things to your
life. I live with my boyfriend in his rather tiny house (I say tiny
because, like most men, he likes bulkier furniture… which makes
storing things like high chairs, play yards, etc rather difficult).
So living in an area that has such little space for storing baby
furniture, I plan to cover things like decluttering, organizing,
space & storage management, and key features to look for in baby
furniture when going for your registry or buying your own things,
among other things. Of course I’ll be talking about some things
like interior design ideas, some DIY projects, money saving ways to
keep things in check, and basically how to keep yourself (and your
partner) sane through the hormone ruled 9 months until your bundle of
joy makes his/her debut. I will of course take notes from my
boyfriend (because goodness knows I was not easy to handle) on how he
had kept himself calm, cool and collected instead of sending me off
to my parents for a night or two. I'll post that, and I do of course
invite anyone, men and women, to give their input on anything that
they would like to, positive or negative. I appreciate feedback!
You can send me a
message via email on my blog or leave comments, which ever way suits
you of course. I do not mind being corrected on things by the way. Id
you notice something I put up is incorrect, feel free to notify me by
either way that I just mentioned :) I also hope that if I get enough
followers on this blog, i'll start vloging and would like to start
doing monthly giveaways to those that tune into both. This would of
course be done after baby is born as it'll take some time for things
to pick up, but yea, stay tuned and it's something to look forward
to!!
so a mom is to be born soon..

Yup! Doc thinks she could come early too, which makes everything I've done and going to be posting about much more convenient. I'm hoping it will all help other mom-to-be'a out too, especially if they are like me and have a big need to pre-prep things way in advance :) very exciting times ^_^
